ABOUT THE COURSE
The program is a complete, professionally taught Driver Education Course that will provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the driving experience. Students must complete 16 sessions “in-car” and 16 sessions of classroom instruction with a passing grade of 65 in each category. At the end of all 32 sessions (16 car and 16 lectures) students will have received, 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of in-the-car driving related to "Rules of the Road", traffic safety concerns, defensive driving, proper handling of vehicle, parking, driving in traffic, and problems of substance abuse as related to driving.

WHAT THE COURSE OFFERS

It includes the MV285 "Completion Certificate"; a Senior driver's license Class D at age 17 upon passing the DMV Road Test; and an insurance reduction for students who qualify.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be 16 years old and must have a Learner's Permit before the first class.

REFUND POLICY

If a student cannot be accommodated because classes are filled, all moneys will be returned or refunded. If a student cancels one week prior to the first class, a $35 administrative charge will be deducted from the refund. If a student withdraws the day before the first class, only a 50% refund will be granted. Thereafter, no tuition refund will be authorized.

ABSENCES/MAKE-UPS

By New York State Education regulations, a student with 3 absences may be dropped from the driver education program. It is the student's responsibility to make arrangements with, and obtain prior approval from, the regular driving and/or lecture instructor to proceed with any make-up assignments.
